Worthing Homes is a forward-looking housing association dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality homes and services to our local communities. We're a small yet dynamic organisation, managing 4,000 homes serving over 10,000 residents across our range of properties from social housing to sheltered accommodation to shared ownership properties.
Our work is driven by a shared passion for supporting our local communities and making a positive impact on our customers' lives. We are at an exciting and transformative stage of our journey, embracing innovation and fresh ideas as we continue to improve services and deliver brilliant outcomes for the people who live in our homes.
We are now seeking a customer-focused and motivated Neighbourhood Manager with a strong background in housing to join our Neighbourhood Housing Team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. Having the right attitude, drive, and enthusiasm-alongside a commitment to excellent customer service-is essential for success in this role.
As a Neighbourhood Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining service continuity throughout the maternity cover period, ensuring the Neighbourhood team continues to deliver high-quality, flexible, and customer-focused housing management services. You will have responsibility for the effective management of our general needs housing stock, through tenancy management, income management, and tenancy support to ensure customers receive a joined-up, supportive, and reliable service.
Acting as a positive, professional, and effective role model, you will provide strong leadership to the team, supporting colleagues through coaching, motivation, and development to help them perform at their best and deliver consistently high standards of service.
About You
We're looking for a confident and capable Neighbourhood Manager to join us on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housing professional to step into a key role and help maintain momentum, stability, and service excellence during an important period.
You'll bring strong, hands-on experience in housing management alongside a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex workloads. With a solid understanding of the legal, regulatory, and operational framework of housing management, you'll ensure continuity of safe, compliant, and high-quality services.
As a natural relationship-builder, you'll quickly establish credibility with residents, colleagues, contractors, and partner organisations. You'll be confident engaging with communities, resolving issues effectively, and sustaining positive working relationships that support strong outcomes.
This role calls for resilience and adaptability. You'll be comfortable working at pace, managing competing priorities, and delivering results to tight deadlines, while responding flexibly to changing demands. Most importantly, you'll be motivated to make a meaningful contribution-supporting teams, driving improvement, and helping shape better services throughout the fixed-term period.
If you're ready to step into a new role and make a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.
