Holiday, Activity and Food (HAF) Camp Coach
Salary: £8.97–£14.24 per hour (dependent on age)
Hours: Core working hours 8:30am–4:30pm OR 9:30am–5:30pm (venue dependent; see contract)
Mileage: 30p per mile after the first 35 miles per day (uplift available for car share)
Location: Various locations across the UK
About the Role
Join Activate HAF Camps and play a key part in delivering fun, engaging and inclusive activities for children. As a HAF Multi Activity Camp Coach, you will lead groups in sports, games, crafts and team challenges, helping young people develop confidence, skills and healthy habits in a safe and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead a group of 10–15 children in engaging and age appropriate sessions
•Promote teamwork, enthusiasm and sportsmanship
•Support camp set up, registration and supervision during downtime
•Safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of all children in your care
•Ensure a safe, fun and inclusive camp experience
•Support meal deliveries and maintain hygiene standards
•Encourage reflective practice, celebrating personal and group achievements
Essential Requirements
•Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
•Sound understanding of safeguarding
•Basic understanding of health and safety
•Experience leading a group
•Passion for working with children
•Experience coaching or teaching sport
Desirable
•Good knowledge of arts and crafts activities
•Previous coaching or teaching experience
•Ability to communicate effectively with parents
•Experience working on Multi Activity or Multi Sport camps
