Graduate Teaching Assistant
We currently have a large number of schools in Bexley that are looking for confident and proactive graduates with a good understanding of SEND to work as teaching assistants. Full-time and part-time roles are available.
You will be working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis during the school day. Pupils will range in age from 4–11 years old and will have suspected or identified behaviour, SEMH and SEND that requires support. You will work with pupils in the classroom and in specialist mentoring sessions, as part of the child’s support team, closely with the SENCO and senior management team. There is immediate cover work and full-time roles starting ASAP.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one support to pupils aged 4–11 with behaviour, SEMH and SEND needs.
* Support pupils in the classroom and in specialist mentoring sessions.
* Collaborate with the SENCO and senior management team as part of the child’s support team.
* Assist with planning and delivery of targeted interventions where required.
Qualifications
* Be a Graduate
* Have experience working or volunteering with children
* Be passionate about supporting children with SEND
