Job Description
Join our Transaction Advisory and asset management team to advise on economic and social infrastructure projects delivered via project and quasi‑development/property finance routes. You will help deliver a backlog of existing advisory mandates across social and infrastructure sectors, focus on client delivery, and enhance AECOM’s Transaction Advisory service capability. The role also involves new mandates in the carbon net‑zero arena.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a project team in delivering Technical Advisor roles to leading market banks and funds
* Identify qualifying economic infrastructure projects and participate in technical, financial and risk discussions with clients
* Deliver analytical and thoughtful advice on infrastructure transactions
* Identify sector pursuits and where advice can be offered across the client base
* Build and develop effective working relationships with colleagues, intermediaries and other networks
* Focus knowledge and skills to ensure good technical infrastructure knowledge delivery to clients
* Contribute to knowledge management of the Transaction Advisory team and wider Asset Management team
* Own and manage the delivery of a set number of projects for a set number of clients
* Maintain a quality of delivery and advice to bolster your own client base
* Utilise in‑house project management systems/protocols to assist your ongoing development
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Construction and Engineering related subjects (Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Quantity Surveying) and either formal professional qualification or substantially en‑route to achieving a full professional qualification (RIBA, RICS, CEng)
* Experience in the construction and engineering market
* Experience in technical asset management, transactions, project or development finance
* Proven experience of working on several projects, meeting deadlines and working under pressure within a business unit with internal and external clients
* Strong numerical ability
* Curiosity, awareness and an interest in the fields of science, technology and innovation
* Preferred: Experience in asset management, transactions, project or development finance
* Preferred: Experience in construction and/or core engineering/infrastructure discipline
* Motivated and able to self‑manage ongoing tasks
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team, often to demanding deadlines
* Analytical problem‑solving skills
* Strong interest in construction; engineering; technology; business and innovation
