Bishopbriggs Nursery – Early Years Practitioner
Salary: £29,619 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
Location: Glasgow (Bishopbriggs, within reach of train station)
About the Role
We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Bishopbriggs nursery. Bright Horizons Bishopbriggs Early Learning and Childcare has been a long‑established nursery at the heart of the community, providing high‑quality childcare and early education for over 30 years. The setting welcomes children from 3 months to 5 years, offering dedicated rooms tailored to each developmental stage—from a bright, stimulating baby room through to a dynamic, free‑flowing preschool environment.
The nursery features spacious indoor learning areas and large outdoor gardens that include engaging resources such as a mud kitchen, open‑ended materials, and spaces for imaginative and creative play. These areas are designed to inspire curiosity, independence, and confidence as children explore, learn, and grow.
Responsibilities
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each child, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.
Qualifications
* Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
* Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
* Strong understanding of the Scottish Curriculum
* Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/carers
