* £17.26 - £18.25 per hour
Night Shift Allowance:
* £32.01 - £34.33 per hour

Location: Inverurie
Duration: 6 months - potential permanent role if all goes well
Rotating day/night shift:
* 1st 1 to 2 months will be day shift only.
* Afterwards, rotating every 2 weeks.
Day shift: Mon-Thu 07:30-15:30, Fri 07:30-14:30
Night shift: Mon-Wed 19:00-05:30 & Thu 19:00-04:30
Job Description:
As Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for safely and accurately assembling and testing new WPCE products, pressure testing, and handling all accessories used with this equipment. You will support and improve assembly processes through specific techniques, innovative ideas, and creative problem solving. You will assist colleagues, report health and safety issues, and adhere to safety protocols. Ensuring high-quality work, right first time, on time, is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to assemble equipment accurately.
2. Manufacture hydraulic systems as per designs, maintaining cleanliness.
3. Follow inspection and quality criteria, report issues, and assist team members.
4. Carry out work instructions from the Cell leader.
5. Monitor and control materials and detect defects.
6. Maintain organized workspace (5S).
7. Support initiatives for on-time delivery, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
8. Generate and implement improvement ideas, stop work if unsafe, and escalate concerns.
9. Train workers in job-related skills.
10. Enforce safety and quality regulations.
11. Support NCR reporting and process improvements.
12. Attend team meetings and actively participate.
13. Identify technical issues, seek support, and propose solutions.
14. Report quality issues and assist in non-conformance elimination.
15. Implement process improvements and streamline manufacturing.
16. Participate in toolbox talks.
17. Work overtime as needed to cover holidays and absences.
18. Promote company policies and safety standards.
19. Complete and update all required paperwork.
20. Adhere to 5S principles and safety policies.
21. Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
