* £17.26 - £18.25 per hour
Night Shift Allowance:
* £32.01 - £34.33 per hour

Location: Inverurie
Duration: 6 months - potential permanent role if all goes well
Rotating day/night shift:
* First 1-2 months: day shift only
* Afterwards: rotating every 2 weeks
Day shift: Mon-Thu 07:30-15:30, Fri 07:30-14:30
Night shift: Mon-Wed 19:00-05:30 & Thu 19:00-04:30
Job Description:
As Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for safely and accurately assembling and testing new WPCE products, pressure testing, and handling all accessories used with this equipment. You will support and improve assembly processes through specific techniques and innovative problem-solving. Supporting colleagues, reporting safety concerns, and participating in safety initiatives are essential. Work quality must be of the highest standard, aiming for first-time right delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and written instructions to assemble equipment accurately.
2. Manufacture hydraulic systems according to designs/procedures, maintaining cleanliness.
3. Adhere to inspection and FAT criteria, policies, and procedures; assist team members and report issues appropriately.
4. Follow work instructions from the Cell leader, including work specifications and equipment operation.
5. Monitor and control materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or faults.
6. Maintain quality and productivity standards.
7. Keep an organized workspace following 5S principles.
8. Support initiatives like on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and quality costs.
9. Generate and implement improvement ideas; promote safety, quality, and process enhancements.
10. Participate in training, enforce safety and quality regulations, and support NCR reporting.
11. Assist with new techniques, machinery, and process improvements.
12. Attend daily team briefings and actively participate in discussions.
13. Identify technical issues, seek support, and suggest solutions.
14. Report quality issues and assist in eliminating non-conformance areas.
15. Implement process improvements and streamline manufacturing efficiency.
16. Contribute to toolbox talks, cover holidays, and support business needs with overtime.
17. Promote company policies, ensure documentation is complete, and uphold 5S principles.
18. Meet health & safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
19. Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned by the line manager.
