CNC Turner (Weekday Night Shift or Weekends)

£24.56 per hour (Weekends)
Hours: 21:15 – 07:00, Monday – Thursday

Friday 11:30am‑12am
Saturday 1pm - 1:30am
Sunday 1pm - 1:30am
Overview
Join a renowned engineering consultancy based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, and be part of delivering innovative solutions in motorsport and aerospace industries. You will support small‑batch CNC turning of high‑quality transmission components.
Responsibilities
* Interpret technical drawings and plan route cards to produce components within routed timeframes.
* Operate CNC lathes including Victor Turn II 26 HD, Leadwell LTC 25iL with Siemens 828D, and Doosan Puma GT3100.
* Read, understand, and edit CNC programmes, modifying speeds and feeds as necessary.
* Use turning tips correctly and apply them appropriately.
* Experience operating a small manual lathe or Harrison Alpha 400 plus NC lathe is advantageous.
Qualifications
* Experience in CNC turning and interpreting technical drawings.
* Familiarity with Fanuc controls; knowledge of Siemens controls is advantageous.
* Knowledge of turning tips and applications.
Hours and Pay
You will work either a Night Shift, Monday – Thursday 21:15 – 07:00 on a 37‑hour per week contract or Weekend Shifts, Friday – Sunday (Fri 11:30am‑12am, Sat 1pm‑1:30am, Sun 1pm‑1:30am) on a 36‑hour contract.
This role is deemed inside IR35. The final Umbrella PAYE pay rate offered will be inclusive of Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitment’s contribution towards Employer Costs.
