About the role

As Assistant Head Teacher, you will work alongside the Head Teacher, setting the vision for the future of the school and ensuring that students leave feeling proud of what they've achieved. You will support children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Working environment

Luxborough Court School is a brand‑new, purpose‑built school training up to 150 pupils aged 5‑19 with autism. The campus includes a large sports hall, bespoke 6th‑form suite, therapeutic spaces, extensive outdoor area, central courtyard garden, and separate playgrounds. We have great public transport links and easy access to the M11.

Responsibilities & qualifications

• Previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status
• Leadership and management experience
• Drive to raise the quality of teaching and learning
• Understanding of positive behaviour for learning
• Effective leadership and coaching skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop a cohesive staff team
