Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Garden Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and landscape maintenance, with hands-on experience in groundskeeping and the use of various gardening tools. This role involves working outdoors, tending to plants, and ensuring the overall health and appearance of our garden spaces.
Duties
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and maintaining garden areas.
* Conduct regular irrigation of plants to ensure optimal growth and health.
* Assist in landscape maintenance tasks including weeding, mulching, and soil preparation.
* Monitor the growth of plants and report any issues such as pests or diseases.
* Collaborate with team members to design and implement new garden layouts or features.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools are stored properly after use.
* Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about plants and gardening techniques when required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is advantageous.
* A strong understanding of plant care, growing conditions, and garden design principles is beneficial.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
* Good physical fitness to perform tasks that may involve lifting and manual labour.
