The treasurer is a trustee with a specific role alongside their trustee duties. They play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the Charity, overseeing day-to-day finances, ensuring compliance, and reporting to the board. It is a hands-on role including recording financial transactions, managing the bank account, preparing annual accounts for auditor examination and filing in line with Charity Commission regulation.
We are seeking a competent treasurer, ideally with an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). By maintaining rigorous financial practices and transparent reporting, the treasurer helps build trust with stakeholders and supports the charity's long-term success.
