Our client requires a design engineer for their specialist and growing engineering company to assist with the production of new designs and modify and update existing designs by producing accurate technical drawings This is an amazing opportunity to join a company with a global reputation who provide services to the aircraft industry. The successful candidate will undertake design work on contracts based on analysis of specifications, producing accurate drawings and liaising with production, purchasing and sales where necessary. The role will suit candidates from a design background, with a degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering (or equivalent). You will need experience using 3D AutoCAD or Solidworks and any additional knowledge of electronics or PLCs would be advantageous, however PLC programming training can be provided. The successful candidate will be predominately involved in the mechanical design of vehicles however the role will also involve electrical design the candidate will be responsible for using AutoCAD to produce technical drawings and schematics, for both new designs and new processes.
