About the Role The Education Network is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the BD15 area. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them to thrive in both their learning and personal development.
You will be working closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.Requirements
Previous experience working with children with SEN (school, nursery, or care setting).
A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work across different year groups within primary.
An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).What We Offer
