North Argyll Carers Centre is an independent charity, dedicated to providing exceptional person-centred emotional and practical support to unpaid carers across the Oban, Lorn and Isles area. We provide vital support to those who provide care, on an unpaid basis, to a family member or friend who due to illness, disability, frailty or addiction could not manage without their help. The Roles: As a Carer Support Worker, you'll provide a lifeline for unpaid carers across the Oban Lorn and Isles area, giving them the emotional and practical support they need to thrive. Your role will involve providing a listening ear, helping carers navigate local services, advising them on their rights and entitlements, working with them to prepare their Adult Carer Support Plans or Young Carer Statements and assisting them in accessing breaks and respite to cope with the physical, mental and emotional challenges of caring. Some travel and home visits will be required. Adult Carer Support Worker, Part Time 30 hours. You will be part of the Adult Carer Support Team based in Oban, collaborating with colleagues to deliver our drop-in support service at the Carers Centre on Albany Street. You will also manage a caseload of adult carers living in and around Oban, building trusted relationships and working one-on-one with them. Island Carer Support Worker, Tiree, Part Time 10 hours. Resident on the island, you will work from home, using your knowledge of the island and its community to provide support to carers of all ages living on Tiree. You will be part of the Adult Carer Support Team but will also liaise with the Young Carer Support Team where appropriate. Island Carer Support Worker, Mul and Iona, Part Time 30 hours. Resident on Mull, you will work from home, using your knowledge of the islands and their communities to provide support to carers of all ages living on Mull and Iona. You will be part of the Adult Carer Support Team but will also liaise with the Young Carer Support team where appropriate. There may be a possibility to split this role and offer a position covering the North of Mull and a position covering the South and Iona.
