HGV Class 2 Driver – Multi-Drop – Avonmouth, Bristol People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver – Avonmouth, Bristol to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver – Avonmouth, Bristol looking for consistent work. Shifts • 4 shifts over 7 days • Working 12-hour shifts • PM start times between 15:00 – 17:00 • AM drivers starting between 03:00 – 06:00 on the same rota • Rolling 3-week rota Rates of Pay • £16.63 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver – Avonmouth, Bristol, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Training provided • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver – Avonmouth, Bristol, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Class 2 multi-drop deliveries • Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly and assisting with loading and unloading when required • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements • Maintaining a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, Food Safety standards, and UK road networks Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver – Avonmouth, Bristol, you will need: • A valid UK Category C Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months experience driving Category C vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) • A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles Training Provided • Driver assessment required prior to starting • Ongoing industry-related training and support Apply If you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 2 Driver – Avonmouth, Bristol, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
