Offer description

Join to apply for the Lead Pharmacist role at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

This role attracts a £2,000 Recruitment and Retention Premia payment.

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT) is an innovative organisation with a proud heritage and over 250 years of experience behind us. We’re driven to deliver an outstanding experience for everyone and have been well regarded for the quality of care and treatment we continue to provide for our patients and support for our staff.

We have approximately 470 beds and employ over 4,000 staff, and have a track record of high performance providing regional and super regional specialist services such as: Burns, Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery, Wessex Regional Genetics Laboratory, Wessex Rehabilitation, Spires Cleft Centre and the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre.

If you’re an experienced pharmacist looking to progress your career and develop your leadership skills whilst also maintaining a patient-facing role, we have the job for you! We’re expanding our senior clinical team and are looking for motivated, dynamic pharmacists to provide clinical expertise and leadership across our medicine and surgical divisions. You’ll be instrumental in developing pharmacy services and mentoring our pharmacists on their foundation pathway.

We have part-time (minimum 22.5 hours) and full-time hours available across three posts:

* Lead pharmacist for Medicine covering cardiology, endocrinology, respiratory, gastroenterology and our award-winning spinal unit.
* Lead pharmacist for Surgery covering general surgery, upper GI, colorectal, gynaecology, urology, ENT and day surgery.
* Lead pharmacist for Orthopaedics, Burns & Plastics covering orthopaedics, our specialist regional burns and plastics unit and pre-operative assessment.

This role attracts a £2,000 RRP payment alongside the Band 8a salary and we can also offer a relocation allowance.

You’ll be a strong, organised, hardworking and dedicated clinician with great communication skills and a passion for education and training. You’ll have a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma (or equivalent experience) and ideally be a current non-medical prescriber or willing to work towards the qualification.

Salisbury is an attractive place to live and work and really gives you the best of everything. With easy access to London and local airports, the city of Southampton is only a short train or car journey away or if you prefer the sea, Bournemouth is also accessible.
