Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant with to join a welcoming and supportive school near Lincoln. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to students, ensuring their well-being and helping them reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and group support to students with additional needs.
* Assist with personal care, as required, ensuring dignity and respect.
* Help manage and support challenging behaviours in a positive and calm manner.
* Work closely with teaching staff to implement tailored learning plans.
* Encourage social and emotional development through engagement and interaction.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Support Care Worker or Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.
* Must live near Sleaford and could ideally drive.
* A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
