Ward Clerk - Ward B8

We now have a vacancy for a full time, Band 2 Ward Clerk to work on B8 at Salford Royal Hospital.
You will provide general non-clinical advice, information and guidance of ancillary services directly to patients, clients, relatives and carers.
You will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to the ward / unit staff and respond to telephone enquiries from hospital staff, patients, GP practices and relatives efficiently and conscientiously.
You will need experience of dealing with the public / customer relations and keyboard skills. RSAII Typing / Word Processing or equivalent and NVQ qualifications are desirable.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the safe keeping and availability of all clinical records relating to patients and the smooth running of the ward / department office.
You will liaise directly with Consultants for direct admissions from GP's and book patients in to clinic as instructed by clinical staff.
You will maintain patient flow on EPR for patient transfers and discharges in a timely manner.
