Time commitment per module: 5 hours per week per module (each module is 12 weeks long). Marking time is additional to this and is calculated 6,000 words per hour.

As an Associate Lecturer Online, you will be responsible for delivering engaging modules to students studying remotely through our fully asynchronous online programmes, in Mandarin. Working closely with the Senior Lecturer Subject Lead, you will bring your subject expertise, strong communication skills, and commitment to student success to the role.
This exciting opportunity will be to specifically deliver the International MBA (IMBA) in Mandarin to Chinese students. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to support diverse learners through asynchronous delivery, within a supportive and forward-thinking academic environment.

The Role
You will deliver and support modules in the IMBA in Mandarin, delivered to Chinese students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitating asynchronous learning and workshops aligned to module specifications
2. Delivering engaging digital learning content via VLE and MS Teams
3. Supporting student assessment and providing timely, constructive feedback
4. Participating in marking standardisation, and academic quality assurance
5. Providing academic support and referring where appropriate
6. Ensuring an excellent student experience.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
7. A Master's degree in a Business Discipline or equivalent. We are particularly interested in candidates with HR/Finance/Operations/Marketing and Research Methods backgrounds
8. Demonstrable experience teaching Business in a higher education setting, ideally in an online asynchronous environment (training will be provided)
9. Excellent communication and digital teaching skills
10. Commitment to inclusivity and student-centred learning
11. A relevant teaching qualification
12. Proficiency in Mandarin and English language
Desirable:
13. PhD in Business or equivalent industry experience
14. Experience with Business research, enterprise activity, or professional networks
