Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Up to £60,000 (Inclusive of Car Allowance)
About the Role
Due to an increased workload, a leading Main Contractor in Lancashire is seeking a versatile and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role offers the chance to work across multiple projects simultaneously, rather than being tied to one client, making it a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied and fast-paced environment.
With projects typically valued at £500K+, you'll be responsible for all commercial duties, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, and will play a key role in supporting both live projects and tendering activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage multiple projects concurrently, delivering full commercial support across education, retail, and pub sectors.
2. Prepare and manage tender submissions (desirable).
3. Produce accurate and timely month-end CVRs and lifecycle forecasts.
4. Handle client invoicing, subcontractor procurement, and payment processes.
5. Identify and manage variations and change control.
6. Build and maintain strong working relationships with Project Managers, Site Managers, and the Senior Leadership Team.
7. Ensure all commercial activities align with contractual and company requirements.
Person Specification
8. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
9. Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with experience across multiple sectors.
10. Ability to manage several live projects simultaneously.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in client-facing situations.
12. Strong attention to detail and highly organised.
