Working Hours: 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 to 13:00 on Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Planner to join an established manufacturing business in Tewkesbury.
The Production Planner will use the company’s ERP/MRP systems (SAGE 200/Preactor) to ensure efficient shop floor loading and OTIF customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure machines are loaded efficiently, maintaining customer delivery dates.
2. Track all live work orders daily.
3. Produce weekly/monthly forward loading schedules for each machine, including manual operations.
4. Ensure parts are moved promptly to the next process.
5. Allocate subcontract order requirements for purchasing timely.
6. Keep Bill of Materials (BOM) updated with accurate set and cycle times.
7. Ensure raw materials and finished goods stocks are accurate and correctly issued to works orders.
8. Implement continuous improvement strategies where opportunities exist.
9. Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 13485).
10. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to improve efficiency.
11. Monitor and report on KPIs and production performance.
12. Recommend process improvements to management.
13. Prioritize workflow to meet monthly order completion and sales targets.
14. Raise purchase requisitions for subcontract operations.
15. Complete administration within SAGE200/Preactor.
16. Liaise with other departments and handle requests for information and data.
Required Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Production Planner in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
2. Experience with lean manufacturing and process optimization (Desirable).
3. Hands-on problem-solving skills focused on efficiency and quality control.
4. Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). SAGE200 experience is desirable but training will be provided.
