Immunisation Admin Officer

We have an opportunity for motivated support staff to join our established School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS) to support the 2026 flu vaccination programme. This fixed term contract band 3 Admin Support Officer role will work as an integral part of the admin team. They will support the service in the organisation, planning, preparation, and delivery of the vaccination programmes from January - December 2026.
You will be required to lead on delivery of the clerical and administrative pre and post vaccination tasks which includes effective liaison with schools in a defined locality area to maximise vaccination uptake rates.
In some cases, there may be the requirement to attend an immunisation session to support vaccination uptake rates.
In addition, you will have a role in medicines management of flu vaccines including stock control, ordering and taking delivery of vaccines, packing vaccines to transport to school sessions and maintaining the fridges and cold chain.
You will be expected to have a good knowledge of Microsoft packages and patient records database i.e. the National Spine, Rio & CHiS. It would be advantageous to have worked with SAIS previously but not essential as training and support will be given.
It is essential you are able to work under pressure, prioritise your own workload and support the admin support clerks in their role, with the support of the Business Support Officer.
Main duties of the job

Data inputting and all general administrative and clerical duties to support the School Age Immunisation Team within the base, schools, alternative educational provider venues and community settings/clinics where required.
Be skilled in undertaking delegated administrative tasks and provide feedback working under the direction of / Team Leader/Programme & Quality Lead/Clinical Lead/ Business Support Officer /Service Manager.

There is opportunity to be full time or part time and based either at Leek (covering Stoke and North Staffordshire), Stafford (covering Central and South Staffordshire) or Tamworth (Covering East Staffordshire).
The core hours of the service are 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday.

Person Specification
Experience
* Relevant placements/experience to the role

Qualifications
* Qualifications in NVQ 3 business administration or equivalent. QCF/NVQ 3 or equivalent in related subject.
* ECDL
Knowledge
* Provision of a range of secretarial/administration services, including minute taking Demonstrable ability to manage time effectively.
* Experience of vaccination recording and reporting
