We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Researcher to support our growing talent acquisition team, specialising in the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Defence sectors. This role is critical in developing and maintaining high-quality talent pipelines, supporting the delivery of client assignments, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct in-depth research to map candidate markets across engineering, manufacturing, and defence sectors, identifying key talent and organisations of interest.
* Build, manage and continuously update talent pools within our Applicant Tracking System to ensure accurate and current data on candidates with critical and niche skill sets.
* Source candidates using various channels including job boards, LinkedIn, CV databases, and networking tools to support live roles and proactive pipeline development.
* Conduct initial outreach and telephone/video pre-screens to assess candidate suitability, motivations, and availability, and provide a seamless and professional candidate experience.
* Ensure all candidate interactions, communications, and updates are accurately recorded in the ATS in accordance with data protection and GDPR requirements.
* Work closely with Consultants and Senior Recruiters to align on role requirements, sourcing strategies, and candidate feedback.
* Provide insight into industry trends, salary benchmarking, competitor activity, and talent availability within key disciplines and locations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a recruitment research/resourcing role, ideally within the Engineering, Manufacturing, or Defence sectors.
* Strong familiarity with ATS and CRM systems, and a commitment to maintaining clean and accurate candidate data.
* Excellent research and candidate sourcing skills, with the ability to identify hard-to-find talent in specialist and technical markets.
* Confident communicator with strong pre-screening and candidate engagement skills.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
* Experience working within executive search or technical contingency recruitment models.
* Understanding of security clearance processes relevant to the defence sector (e.g. BPSS, SC, DV).
* Familiarity with Boolean search techniques and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, or other research platforms
