Thisis an exciting opportunity to work in the Kent and Medway Integrated CareBoards Oversight Team.
Dueto the technical and professional nature of the role, professional supervisionand development will be provided by the ICBs Analytics Team whilst day-to-daymanagement and workload will be provided by the Oversight Team.
The Oversight Team is a small and dedicated/friendly team, working to theICBs Chief of Staff, which is responsible for the ICB oversight function. Theteam supports the ICB to become increasingly self-standing and self-assuring,by providing an objective view of delivery and performance, in line withdelegated oversight responsibilities from NHS England.
TheICB oversight function provides an independent and objective, evidence-based viewof how the ICB, Kent and Medway providers, our four Health and CarePartnerships, and other system partners are performing and understanding anysupport requirements they may have.
Youwould also be professionally part of a large and vibrant Analytics team. Asearly adopters of the National Competency Framework, NHS England, for Analyticswe attach a high level of importance on the development of our analyticalstaff.
This makes for a dynamicworkload requiring the valuable development of performance oversightinformation and insights.

Job responsibilities
Due to the technical and professional natureof the role the Oversight Analytics Lead will have professional supervision anddevelopment in place via the ICB Analytics team, with day-to-day management andworkload provided by the ICB Oversight team, being an integral part of theOversight Team and wider Chief of Staff directorate, working to:
Supportthe Senior Performance Oversight Manager to deliver the Oversight Teamsbusiness as usual processes. Leading on the management of data and its visualpresentation within those processes to provide meaningful insights and outcomesto support the identification of issues for escalation.
Supportthe Senior Performance Oversight Manager to ensure that all routine informationprovided by the ICBs Analytics team is signed-off after quality controlreviews and that new flows of data or metrics are understood by the OversightTeam.
Lead onthe management, development, measurement and monitoring of all Oversightperformance metrics.
Lead onthe provision of analytics, statistical methods and meaningful visuals(storytelling with data) to support the production of Oversight reports at anICB, provider, system and place level.
Conductanalytical deep dives on behalf of the Oversight team in areas of issueidentified within the Performance Oversight, Improvement Approach and NHSOversight Framework processes.
Provideanalytics across the Chief of Staff directorate as required to support themonitoring and outcomes measurement of the ICBs objectives, Financial RecoveryPlan schemes and workplan as directed by the Chief of Staff.

1. Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area

2. Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development.
3. Must have a good understanding and practical use of SQL including the use of SELECT and aggregation functions. Desirable to have Common Table Expressions.
4. Must have a good understanding and practical use of Power BI and DAX including being able to create visuals. Desirable to have knowledge of PowerQuery and link to data sources.
5. Practical experience of accessing and appraising complex data sets, including data quality, applying a range of techniques to analyse data and provide insights.
6. In depth knowledge of NHS and public sector datasets and sources.
