NHSGGC Pharmacy Services at Royal Hospital for Children (QEUH) are seeking a Specialist Pharmacist for Paediatrics – Band 7, 37 hours per week.
The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow is the largest tertiary paediatric centre in Scotland, providing a range of local, regional and national services to children and families across the country.
Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted, safe and effective patient and family‑centred care within paediatric and neonatal intensive care, paediatric haematology and oncology, general paediatrics, surgical and medical specialties including cardiac, renal, neurosciences and GI.
* Involve in research, quality improvement and development activities.
* Deliver training and mentorship to experiential learning and foundation year pharmacists as part of the training and education programme.
* Provide expert clinical pharmacy services across multiple paediatric specialties.
Qualifications
* Master’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Working towards a postgraduate qualification and an Independent Prescribing qualification – essential.
* Commitment to CPD in line with GPhC requirements and completion (or almost completed) of the Post Registration Framework or equivalent experience.
* Paediatric experience desirable but not essential.
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday with participation in weekend working, public holidays and on‑call duties.
