Linehaul Driver
Location: Carlisle
Contract: Permanent – 45 hours weekly
Shift: Nights, Monday–Friday, 9‑hour shifts (starting 5/6 pm)
Salary: £41,535
Responsibilities
You will drive a lorry from our fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. You are expected to plan routes independently and drive trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. Your duties include:
* Transporting cages, pallets, freight, stillages and Yorks to and from customers on time.
* Loading or unloading goods at sites as required, or using pre‑loaded sites.
* Scanning consignments and operating pallet trucks when needed.
* Inspecting the vehicle and trailer daily and completing a defect report if necessary.
