We're looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our brilliant People team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.
What you'll be doing
In this exciting and hands‑on role, you'll be the first point of contact for Employee Relations queries, offering clear, confident and practical advice to colleagues and line managers. You'll help leaders navigate our policies, processes and procedures, guiding them through each step and ensuring a fair, consistent and people‑focused approach.
Your responsibilities as Employee Relations Advisor will include:
Support the business in all first line employee relations matters in line with HR policies and procedures.
Consistently delivering a professional and proactive approach, enabling managers to achieve their objectives.
Be proactive, adaptable and comfortable with change.
Coach and develop line manager autonomy by supporting them through our processes, policies and procedures.
Work with the wider People Management team on People Projects as required.
Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with the Employee Relations Specialist Team in referring and resolving employee relations cases in a seamless way.
To be seen as an expert in understanding People Policy.
Note take for disciplinaries, grievances, welfare meetings etc.
Assist the ER Advisory Manager to gather value adding data.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience of working within an HR function and some case management experience would be desirable.
The ability to make logical, well-balanced and reasoned decisions.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of HR policies and employment law legislation.
The ability to identify the root cause of issues.
Experience within a regulatory business would be advantageous
