You'll be responsible for:

* Provide specialist support to the Project Team, for the review and acceptance of the Main Works Contractors Construction Phase Plan prior to commencement of any work and ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with the agreed Construction Phase Plan and approved method statements

* Undertake inspections and manage findings as required by the Cadent Quality Management System

* In liaison with the Project Delivery Team and Contractor, help to determine the project specific implementation of SHE Bulletins / Alerts, Best Practice, Good Practice and Lessons Learned

* Ensure that all SHE events/incidents/accidents/dangerous occurrences are reported to the Capital Delivery Management Team and Project Manager and reported and investigated as required by the Incident Reporting and Investigation procedure (NGUK/PM/INV/1)

* Monitor compliance with permits/NRO procedures in accordance with SCO procedures

* Monitor the suitability and effectiveness of Contractor temporary works inspections including the update of registers

* Monitor the Contractor records through inspection, to ensure they are kept for all Plant/Equipment/Lifting equipment

You’ll need to have:

* Experience and knowledge of: Health and wellbeing legislation.

* Management/delivery of health and wellbeing projects and programmes and campaigns.

* Knowledge of current health and wellbeing issues and trends.

* To be able to network and share information and knowledge gleaned.

* Understanding of intersection between health and wellbeing, inclusion, and health safety and wellbeing (HSW).

* Proven experience managing organisational health and wellbeing projects and programmes and achieving results.

* Knowledge and application of relevant legislation and best practice.

* Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

* Attention to detail.

* Project and programme management skills and experience.

* Communication and presenting skills.

* Project management skills and experience

* Ability to generate reporting and meaning from raw data to present to stakeholders.

* Self-motivated and purpose led.

* Able to motivate self and peers

* Work in a collaborative manner.

* Deliver results through influencing and negotiation.

* Professional qualification (or equivalent).

* Relevant experience of H&W management in an organisation.

* Evidence of continuous professional development.

You'll also have:

* Demonstrable basic level of Building Safety competence Continual Professional Development (CPD) record of continual learning/development.

* Multi-sector experience delivering different building types.

* Understanding of Statutory and Mandatory requirements and timescales.

* Good knowledge of Building Standards and legislation.

* Basic knowledge of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) rules.

* Good analytical skills.

* Prepared to challenge and question.

* Maintains impartiality & takes pragmatic approach evaluating evidence.

* Membership professional body (RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT (or equivalent).
