Land Estimator Opportunity
My client is an award-winning Developer specialising in Regeneration and Affordable Housing Projects across the UK. Due to significant growth in upcoming land-led housing developments, the company is now looking for a Land Estimator to join their Midlands Team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the Land Estimator will support the pre-construction and land acquisition teams by producing detailed and accurate cost plans and estimates for new build residential schemes across the Midlands.
As a Land Estimator, you will take responsibility for:
* Preparing robust cost estimates for land-led housing developments.
* Producing detailed assessments of drawings and specifications to support accurate cost planning.
* Coordinating subcontractor enquiries and analysing quotations for inclusion in tenders.
* Working closely with land and planning teams to assess site constraints and commercial viability.
* Presenting tenders and cost appraisals to senior management during bid settlement meetings.
* Supporting multiple bid opportunities at once, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Land Estimator Requirements:
* Proven experience in estimating within the residential new build sector.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, groundworks, and technical drawings.
* Ability to interpret site investigation data and apply value engineering principles.
* Experience in preparing land bids and understanding development viability.
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel-based cost planning tools.
* Strong commercial awareness and communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
