Primary Responsibilities

* The ICT/Security Specialist will be expected to complete a variety of project tasks including but not limited to the following.
* General engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling) or electronic security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection etc.) and operational coordination with commercial hardware.
* Show ability to design cabling pathways such as conduits or cable tray systems as well as proper bonding systems.
* Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and ensure those requirements are met within the project design.
* Define and develop complete project-related construction documents to include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project specifications and assist with system related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities.
* Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project-related requirements.
* Edit telecommunication or security specification specifically to the specific project.
* Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
* Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.
* Perform other duties as needed.


Required Qualifications

* Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience.
* 2-10 years of related work experience.
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
* Ability to work in different forms of computer softwares such as Building Information Modeling (BIM); “Revit”, PDF software, Microsoft and Google softwares.


Preferred Qualifications

* Engineering Bachelor’s degree, RCDD or PSP is preferred.
* Entry level to five years of related work experience.
* “Can-Do” and problem-solving mind-set.
* Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on schedule and under budget.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
* Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
* Strong computer skills and a proficiency or able to work in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work in Revit, AutoCAD is a bonus. Must be able to learn new applications quickly.
* Knowledge of engineering drawings and design standards and practices.
* Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
* Preference given to local candidates.


Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience.
* Minimum 5 years experience in low-voltage system design.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
