An exciting business based in Manchester, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk based in Manchester to start ASAP.
Job Description
3. Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system.
4. Match purchase orders with invoices to ensure correct payments.
5. Prepare payment runs and liaise with suppliers regarding any discrepancies.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase ledger transactions.
7. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any outstanding queries.
8. Assist with month-end processes, including ledger reviews and reporting tasks.
9. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
10. Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
11. Prior experience in a similar role within the Accounting & Finance sector.
12. Proficiency in accounting systems and software, with strong attention to detail.
13. A methodical approach to tasks and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
14. Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
15. A strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and financial controls.
