The Role:
As Chef Manager, you will take full responsibility for the smooth running of the hospital kitchen, ensuring exceptional food standards, compliance, and team leadership. You'll play a vital role in supporting patient wellbeing through carefully planned and prepared meals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen and catering operations
* Plan and deliver nutritious, well-balanced menus tailored to patient and staff needs
* Ensure full compliance with food safety (HACCP), allergen management, and health & safety standards
* Manage stock control, ordering, and budget effectively
* Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing catering team
* Maintain excellent food quality, presentation, and service delivery
* Build strong working relationships with healthcare staff and stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role
* Background in healthcare, education, or contract catering environments (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and kitchen management systems
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* A proactive, organised, and hands-on approach
* Relevant culinary qualifications
