Our Client are a growing D&B contractor based in the West End looking to hire a Pre Construction Manager to support their continued success into 2026. As a business they have tripled their turnover over the last 18 months and have no plans on slowing their growth down.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Pre-Construction Manager to expand their Design & Build team. In this key role, you will lead the pre-construction process from initial enquiry through to project handover to the delivery team, ensuring all proposals are technically sound, commercially competitive, and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full pre-construction lifecycle for D&B projects, including feasibility, concept design, estimating, and bid preparation.
* Coordinate design development with internal teams, external consultants, and supply chain partners.
* Review client briefs, identify project risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
* Lead value-engineering initiatives to optimise project design and cost outcomes.
* Prepare, review, and present tender submissions and technical proposals.
* Work closely with commercial, design, and project delivery teams to ensure a seamless project transition.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
* Ensure all pre-construction activities comply with relevant standards, regulations, and company procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in a Pre-Construction Manager or similar role within the Design & Build or construction sector.
* Strong understanding of construction methodology, building regulations, and design coordination.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
* Excellent commercial awareness and experience contributing to competitive tenders.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related discipline (desirable).
