Duties
1. Manage customer expectations regarding completion of enquiries/tenders.
2. Review, comment, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions, including credit requirements.
3. Lead handover meetings when required and take ownership of commercial aspects, including margins.
4. Attend customer meetings in person and via Teams as necessary.
5. Discuss and review initial proposals regarding technical requirements of clients' specifications.
6. Advise on the best fit of technical products using existing technologies for AC UPS, DC Chargers, and batteries.
7. Understand and interpret requirements for installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
8. Support the tendering engineer and provide guidance on margins and target prices to maximize profit.
9. Ensure enquiries, customer details, status, and activities are logged and updated in the company’s CRM system for management reporting.
10. Provide quotes and tenders for products, installation, commissioning, service, spares, and training as needed to manage customer expectations and assist other departments.
11. Attend site meetings and complete surveys where necessary.
12. Provide monthly reports and presentations alongside the Industrial Sales team or individually as required.
13. Make recommendations on product development and pricing as appropriate.
14. Update on market trends, competitors, and market prices.
15. Assist in the development of team members and other departments where necessary.
16. Promote a “Can do” culture for internal and external stakeholders.
Experience
1. Experience with the Standby Power Industry or similar industries such as switchgear is advantageous.
2. Understanding of power electronics.
3. Ability to produce tenders/quotations is beneficial.
4. HNC or higher qualification or similar relevant experience.
