The Role As an Adults Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing needs, ensuring protection, and coordinating resources for our clients. Your responsibilities will include: Assessment and Intervention: * Assess the need for social work services, including the identification of risk and the need for protection. * Determine the appropriate method of intervention. * Decide and advise on the use of suitable social services and/or other resources, ensuring clients receive the best possible support package. * Case Management & Compliance: * Effectively manage and monitor an allocated workload in line with individual and team priorities, and Council policies. * Comply fully with all relevant statutory obligations and legislation. Multi-Agency Working: * Liaise and negotiate with other professionals, statutory agencies, and voluntary organisations to ensure a seamless and comprehensive service is provided for all clients. Professional Development & Standards: * Maintain accurate and appropriate records of work undertaken and carry out all required administrative procedures diligently. * Actively prepare for and attend supervision sessions and staff meetings. * Make full use of all available training and development opportunities to enhance your practice. * Contribute to the evaluation and development of services and new ideas by sharing knowledge about theory, skills, and best practice with colleagues and other professional groups. * Opportunities to supervise social work students where appropriate.
