Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to support the Moving & Handling Practitioner.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate training, provide advice, guidance and support to staff Trust wide on manual handling training and education issues.
* Contribute towards ensuring that manual handling education remains within local and national guidelines, whilst maintaining and promoting Trust policies and procedures. Maintain patient safety and infection control as consistent threads underpinning all training.
* Subject Matter expert in service of moving and handling training, advice and support regarding moving and handling of people and objects within the workplace.
* Support the provision and maintenance of small equipment across the organisation to support safe and effective patient care.
* Act as a role model for moving and handling and promote a culture of safety.
* Show flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the service.
* Provide a point of contact for all services Trustwide for advice, support and guidance regarding manual handling concerns or issues.
* Escalate any concerns raised by health care workers in regard to complex handling risk to the Manual Handling Practitioner.
Qualifications
* You will have a recognised qualification in Moving and Handling, organisational skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
