You’ll be based at our Union office in the centre of Manchester on Albert Square. There’s a great atmosphere here, with a lot of collaboration, so we operate four days in the office, one day from home.
This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally running from June 2025 - June 2026.
Job purpose:
You’ll join a team of Credit Controllers, responsible for the coordination of cash collection, credit control, and ledger management. You’ll manage your own ledger, giving you the autonomy to build relationships with Bruntwood customers.
What you’ll be doing:
* Coordinate the collection of all cash across your ledger to terms outlined.
* Calling/Emailing Customers, being the front line of communication.
* Building internal and external relationships.
* Maintain data integrity across systems.
* Managing complex customer queries and ensuring they are resolved either directly or with relevant assistance from colleagues.
* Present debt position to asset managers and internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with commercial account managers to resolve customer queries promptly to ensure seamless cash collection.
* Produce weekly ledgers to be worked from.
* Manage relationships with our external legal representative for escalated cases.
What we’re looking for:
* Previous Credit Control experience is important; however, we’re open to different industry experience.
* Prior experience in managing retail debt portfolios.
* Work closely and collaboratively with other teams in transactional finance.
* Excellent time and workload management with a high attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to develop strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Identify change opportunities and drive innovative ideas through the company.
