The Maternity Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to the maternity team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all maternity services. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate records, coordinating communication, P2P ordering and daily office tasks.
1. Ability to communicate effectively with all grades of staff and visitors to the department and work effectively as a team member.
2. Discretion and understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
3. Drafting and typing of correspondence for the midwifery team.
4. Maintaining personal files for all midwifery staff, ensuring all changes in staff working hours, grades, names and addresses, including temporary grades and contracts are properly recorded on Variation Forms and distributed to Payroll and Human Resources, keeping up to date Next of Kin records.
5. Filing for Matrons.
6. Supporting Maternity team with recruitment processes.
7. Carrying out general administration duties including: answering the phone, electronic filing, generating basic reports, data entry, responding to emails and diary management.
