About You
This role would suit a Sports Tutor with experience working with young people or someone eager to share their knowledge to support learners in achieving their goals. Ideally, candidates will possess teaching and assessing qualifications and have a background in sport. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of purpose, passion for teaching, and the ability to work to deadlines.
You will be able to:
* Plan and deliver diverse and innovative teaching, learning, and assessment opportunities to achieve high standards.
* Ensure programmes incorporate the latest developments in the subject and use ICT effectively.
* Provide pastoral and tutorial support to aid learner progress and achievement.
You will also have:
* PGCE/Certificate in Education or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
* Relevant vocational qualifications
About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Study Programme BTEC Sports Tutor to join our Oldham team. This position is on a term-time basis, 24 hours per week over 39 weeks, based at one of our football partner sites in Oldham.
The successful candidate will deliver and assess the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development, managing learning from initial assessment to course completion.
Our Tutors deliver practical learning, develop employability and social skills, and enable learners to achieve accredited qualifications, including in English and maths up to GCSE level.
