CRC.scot is seeking a capable and motivated Site Engineer to join our team. We are open to candidates ranging from early-career engineers with strong potential through to those with a few years of site experience who are ready to take on greater responsibility. Based in Banchory, operating around Scotland, this role is partially site and partially main office based, with some opportunity for working from home. We deliver civil and environmental engineering projects in natural and often challenging environments, where adaptability and practical thinking are essential. The Role You will play a key role in the delivery of our projects, working closely with site teams, management, and clients. Depending on your experience, you will either support or take ownership of core site engineering duties, helping ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. A central part of this role is staying organised, communicating clearly, and adapting to changing site conditions — as our work often requires methods to evolve in response to the environment. What We’re Looking For Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline) Strong technical grounding in civil engineering principles Experience working on civil engineering sites (as a Site Engineer or similar) is advantageous Highly organised with good attention to detail Clear and confident communicator with site teams, management, and clients Positive attitude and willingness to learn Interest in practical environmental engineering Comfortable adapting to changing conditions and evolving work methods Key Responsibilities Supporting and/or managing day-to-day site engineering activities Setting out, quality assurance, and maintaining accurate records Coordinating with site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers Communicating effectively with clients and internal teams Assisting in planning and adapting works in response to environmental conditions Helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification What We Offer Opportunity for autonomy within a supportive team environment with strong mentoring and guidance Exposure to varied and technically interesting environmental projects Opportunity to take on significant responsibility Clear progression pathway — with strong potential to move into a Project Manager or similar role as you develop and demonstrate your ability to deliver for clients
