PVG / Disclosure Scotland
The following criteria apply to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are required:
Where the post is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed by East Dunbartonshire Council.
Successful candidates will bear the cost of the relevant check, which will be deducted from their first salary payment.
In certain circumstances, the deduction may be made in installments from wages following employment commencement, with approval from the HR & OD Manager.
If an employee leaves before full deduction, the remaining amount will be deducted from the final salary.
This criterion applies to existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
