Job Title: Operations Technician
Department: Processing
Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Regular Full-time
Location: Reading, PA
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for weighing, assembling, packaging and labeling various forms of cannabis
2. Operate equipment as needed and dictated by the process
3. Adherence manufacturing processes
4. Maintain accurate daily activities records and operation logs as directed
5. Continuously place importance in the organizational goals and visions in relation to:
6. Safety and security of employees and product
7. Compliance to all policies, regulations, and laws set forth by the city, county and state as required to ensure security of the operating license
8. Quality of product and packaging
9. On-time delivery and customer service
10. Process Performance
11. Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
12. Additional duties as assigned by manufacturing leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
13. Production experience in the food/beverage or pharmaceutical industry desired
14. Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with a team
15. Detail oriented
16. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high-stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it
17. Excellent communication skills
18. Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance
19. Must have reliable transportation
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
20. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
21. Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
22. Must have valid driver's license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
23. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
24. Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
25. Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
26. Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
27. Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
28. Environmental Requirements and Exposure, depending on work location. Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables.
