Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our Despatch Department in Greater Manchester. This full-time role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, where you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and dispatching stock while adhering to health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and strong communication skills as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
* Receive and process incoming stock and materials efficiently.
* Pick and fill customer orders from inventory accurately.
* Pack and ship orders to customers while ensuring quality standards are met.
* Organise and maintain inventory storage areas for optimal efficiency.
* Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and powered pallet trucks safely.
* Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
* Follow all safety procedures and guidelines diligently.
Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not required as training will be provided.
* Experience preparing and handling customer orders effectively.
* Experience assisting with stocktakes or cycle counts is beneficial.
* High attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy in all tasks performed.
* Forklift operation certification (Counterbalance) preferred; Reach Truck or Picking Truck licenses are also advantageous but not mandatory at the start of employment.
* Good literacy, numeracy, IT skills (familiarity with SAP or ABI systems),
* 'Ability to follow clear verbal instructions from supervisors.
