Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Bristol (with flexible hybrid options)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)
Contract Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Flexible
Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a purpose-driven production company to recruit for a Finance Assistant (with some HR responsibilities) on full-time/part-time and permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Process corporate and production purchase invoices (including PO matching and coding)
* Execute weekly payment runs for all purchase invoices
* Process and pay out-of-pocket expenses, ensuring VAT is claimed accurately
* Manage advances (cash and bank), including receipt reconciliation
* Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations; assist with reporting
* Manage company credit card usage: prepare statements, reconcile, and apply VAT correctly
* Order new credit cards as needed
* Participate in financial audits by submitting documentation and evidence
* Liaise with finance leadership on upcoming spend for effective cashflow planning
Support HR admin tasks, including:
* Onboarding/offboarding staff
* Issuing contracts and tracking signatures
* Setting up new employees in HR systems and coordinating with IT
* Provide ad-hoc support to the finance team as required
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a finance role within a production or creative environment
* Solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial functions and spreadsheet management)
* Familiarity with production finance software
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* High level of discretion and confidentiality
