Digital Design Executive (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £29,000 FTE (pro rata, dependent on experience)
Contract: 12-month fixed-term maternity cover (4 days per week)

Role Overview
St Michaels Resort is seeking a talented Digital Design Executive to provide maternity cover and play a pivotal role in shaping how our luxury coastal brand is seen across digital and print channels. This is a designer-first role, perfect for someone who combines technical excellence with a flair for creativity and a passion for staying ahead of modern design trends.
Your work will be visible across the resort's marketing campaigns, including national press, glossy magazines, digital platforms and major site-wide projects. This is a unique opportunity to join at an exciting time for the business, with a new Resort Director in place and large-scale brand projects scheduled for early 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative Output
* Deliver high-quality creative assets across digital, print and out-of-home channels, ensuring consistency with the resort's luxury and wellness-led brand identity.
* Produce impactful, creative designs that elevate the brand in a competitive hospitality market.
* Apply strong skills in typography, illustration, iconography and image retouching to produce polished, professional work.
* Ensure all design output supports commercial objectives and aligns with campaign briefs.
Digital & Multimedia
* Design for web and digital channels, including email campaigns, website updates and social media.
* Provide support with editing, animation and motion graphics where skills allow, contributing to multimedia output.
* Bring an innovative approach to using the latest design tools and techniques, ensuring the resort remains at the forefront of design practice.
Collaboration & Campaign Support
* Work closely with the wider marketing team (covering Spa, Health Club, Resort Rooms, Food & Beverage and the wider Crew) to deliver engaging campaigns.
* Provide design support for PR activity, including media packs, itineraries, influencer stays and event collateral.
* Assist in the preparation and rollout of campaign materials across multiple channels.
Future Projects
* Support site-wide projects launching in early 2026, shaping the next stage of the resort's design.
About You
* Proven experience in graphic design, with a portfolio of work across digital and print (required).
* Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects or similar desirable).
* Strong eye for typography, layout and visual storytelling.
* Photo editing and retouching experience is highly desirable.
* Motion graphics, animation or video-editing skills are a plus.
* Actively follows design leaders and trends, with a drive to push creative boundaries.
* Strong organisation and time management skills, able to manage multiple projects under pressure.
* A collaborative team player, open to feedback and able to interpret briefs commercially.
* Enthusiastic about wellness and lifestyle, able to translate this into stylish and high-performing design work.
Terms and Benefits
* Contract: 12-month fixed-term maternity cover (4 days per week).
* Salary: £29,000 FTE (pro rata, dependent on experience).
* Reporting to: Marketing Manager.
* Start date: Ideally late September 2025, to allow a handover before mid-October.
