Job Description:
Clinical Case Manager – Registered Oncology Nurse (Band 6 equivalent, RGN)
Bupa Place, Salford Quays, M50 3SP or Angel Court London, EC2R 7HJ
Permanent (Full-time and Part-time to be considered)
37.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri only, no on-call)
Salary up to £39,500 dependent on experience

You’ll help us make health happen by:
1. Supporting our members ensuring that their treatment pathway is evidence based, in line with best practice and their Bupa policy.
2. Identify and support our most complex cases through liaison with both members and Bupa recognised providers.
3. Proactively guide customers and provide knowledgeable and efficient front-line service, including signposting our members to eligible services through their policy.
4. Respond professionally to telephone calls and other forms of communication from internal and external contacts, within designated time scales.
5. Be empowered to use your initiative to resolve queries using escalation processes as required.
6. Proactively support colleagues through sharing information and knowledge.
7. Use a range of systems available to you and ensure information is appropriately documented
8. Contribute to the good governance of the Clinical Services including accessing supervision and training.
9. Use high quality communication skills adapted to meet the needs of each interaction with members, providers, and other key stakeholders.
What you’ll bring:
10. A Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
11. Sound clinical reasoning skills, able to work independently, think analytically and use a problem-solving approach
12. Ability to work independently within scope of practice and role requirements
13. Professional role model in line with NMC code of practice
14. Ability to deal calmly and professionally in manging complex and challenging conversations
15. Resilience with an ability to work under pressure, at pace and manage competing priorities
16. Excellent communication skills, including both telephone and Letter/Email writing skills, and the ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers of all levels.
