Head of Development – Leeds (Hybrid: 3 Days On Site)

What You’ll Be Part Of
* You will lead a dedicated development team focused on producing high‑quality technical solutions. Working closely with the Head of Digital, you’ll help define the direction of the department, ensuring we deliver work that is both technically strong and commercially valuable.
* You’ll set the standard for best practice, guide and support junior developers, and continuously evolve our processes so we stay ahead of industry trends. You’ll also play a key role in shaping custom builds, driving new capabilities, and ensuring our digital offering continues to grow.
What You’ll Bring (Must have management experience)
* They are looking for someone with a strong technical background, a problem‑solver with creative thinking, and someone who understands both the detail and the bigger picture.
* You’ll also bring confidence in managing hosting environments and dedicated servers, along with strong communication skills to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
* Experience with Git, pipeline tools and standard development cycles is essential.
* Additional experience with other CMS platforms, advanced frameworks, SEO or performance optimisation is advantageous.
