Are you a self-starting Family Lawyer? My client, a well-established North Yorkshire law firm, are looking for a to take on a senior role within their Family Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join a respected practice with a loyal client base, strong local reputation, and a friendly, supportive working culture.The role:
* Manage a varied caseload of private Family Law matters (no Legal Aid work), you'd be stepping into a caseload where a significant % of them are litigated files.
* Focus on financial settlements following divorce or separation, as well as wider family law issues.
* Work alongside another senior lawyer to develop and modernise the department.
* Supervise and support junior team members, including paralegals and trainees.
* Deliver exceptional client service and contribute to the continued success of the team.
The ideal candidate:
* 2+ years’ PQE with solid experience across all aspects of private Family Law.
* Confident handling financial cases, including those involving high net worth clients.
* Proactive, commercially minded, and confident in taking ownership of your caseload.
* Comfortable with technology and open to improving systems and working methods (experience with speech recognition software is desirable).
* Supervisory experience required to work with paralegals, trainees and legal support.
