Engineering Technical Assistant
A growing company in the emissions monitoring industry is seeking an Engineering Technical Assistant. The right candidate will be technically minded and a self-starter, as well as have good technical skills and work ethics. They will be responsible for assisting the project engineers to aid in engineering steps used in the project design and documentation. Assistant will check calculations, research parts, create spreadsheets, analyze data for discrepancies, review IO lists, review drawings, review and help assemble various technical submittal documents, review
spare parts lists, review bills of materials and prepare reports as required, review and complete factory acceptance test (FAT) book in coordination with test team, and work with other departments and vendors as necessary.
Requirements:
* A technical background in engineering or physical sciences or from technical school.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good knowledge of general office practices.
* Ability to use technical background to learn company products and services to apply that knowledge in assisting customers, company departments, and fellow employees.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently with company procedures and guidelines.
* Ability to read design and fabrication drawings of electro-pneumatic-mechanical designs.
* Will report to the project team engineering managers as a shared resource.
* We will train in the tasks and products. Bring an eagerness to learn and help the team.
Qualifications:
* 1-3 years electrical, mechanical or instrumentation technician experience is beneficial
* Some technical school or college with science emphasis
* Computer experience in Windows OS. Excellent skills working with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
* Excellent English written and oral communication skills
* Organized mindset with detailed abilities and attention to technical details
* Works well in project teams in a collaborative environment
