About the Role
A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Croydon is looking for passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team. The school is hiring multiple candidates to support pupils across different age groups, providing individual and small-group support to children with a range of Special Educational Needs.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to deliver tailored support, helping pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
*
Assist in implementing and reviewing Individual Education Plans.
*
Support children’s learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing throughout the day.
*
Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
*
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each child.
Requirements
Essential:
*
Minimum 2 years of classroom experience supporting SEN pupils within a UK primary school setting.
*
Solid understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive learning approaches.
*
Excellent communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
*
A relevant university degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
*
Experience supporting children with specific needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language, SEMH).
