Position: Quant Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $53–$74/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20–30 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
* Collaborate with AI researchers to design, train, and validate quantitative and statistical models.
* Apply advanced mathematical, statistical, and computational methods to enhance model performance and stability.
* Evaluate and refine algorithmic frameworks to ensure robustness, precision, and reliability.
* Contribute to the training and fine-tuning of AI systems, ensuring they reason accurately in quantitative contexts.
* Participate in synchronous collaboration sessions (4-hour windows, 2–3 times per week) to review experiments, debug models, and exchange technical insights.
Qualifications
Must-Have
* Strong academic or professional background in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or Quantitative Finance.
* Expertise in probability, optimisation, and numerical analysis.
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used for quantitative work (Python, C++, Julia, R, or Rust).
* Experience with simulation systems, data analysis, or machine learning frameworks is a strong plus.
* Excellent analytical reasoning, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Ability to commit to 20–30 hours per week, including the required synchronous collaboration periods.
